End of the Year Reflection
Some of my advice to freshmen will include picking which classes will benefit the most
as well as giving a heads up about the teachers. Also I will make sure my mentees know their
way around the school. For the people who will be in HELA II next year; make sure you submit
your assignments on time. The class is pretty easy but do not overestimate it and relax. I think it
is very important to give advice to students who will be in the class next year.
The most challenging part of this year was just trying to manage all your classes while
doing extracurricular activities. When I consider the rest of my life; I think 42% of what I have
learned is useful. Of all of the books I read, my favorite would probably be Things Fall Apart
because the story was very creative and it was considered historical fiction. Six adjectives that
best describe this year would be hard, fun, fast, boring, proud, and splendid.
I think the area that I have made the biggest improvements in is writing. I learned how
write a DBQ and FRQ. And then I applied those skills when writing in HELA II. Something I
will remember we did this year that I will remember for the rest of my life is trying coke and
peanuts. Also I will remember tasting the different honeys and kneeling on the grits. My favorite
part in the classroom would be the corner by the two bookshelves. It is very isolated and can
barely two people.
Something that the teacher could have done to make this year better would be to do more
hands on projects with all of the books. The person at our school that has made the biggest

impact in my life would have to be Mr. Stuewe because I just learned so much from that class
and my view on the world has changed dramatically. Something that I accomplished this year
that I am proud of is being there for people who needs help. Even though I did not get much in
return; it was a good experience. I think overall; this year has went by great.
