Make sure you plan ahead!
Before you start playing a song, take a look and see which parts might be problematic for
breathing. For example, in the next song, you will play six exhaled notes in a row (starting at
measure 10) without a chance to breathe—that is, no reste. This means you should take a
very deep breath on the rest just before this part, s0 you might want to circle it or
something.

And you thought you were running out of breath with whole notes? Take a deep breath,
because you're about to encounter even longer notes...
A tie connects two notes (makes ‘em look fancy) and tells you to extend the first note
(keep playing) through to the end of the tied note:
