During that time, she worked primarily in an elementary general music setting, as well as 2 junior high choral and general music placement. ian. |have Ms. Vivian exhibits infectious energy and enthusiasm in the classroom. She is very open to mentoring and has shown excellent progress throughout the student teaching placement. Her lesson planning is exemplary and she is particularly strong at the youngest grade levels. In spite of the fact that Ms. Vivian's primary instrument is trumpet, she has a lovely singing voice that she employs as an effective vocal model in the classroom. Her keyboard skills have shown progress throughout the semester, but she requires lead time for preparation of music with multiple voice parts. I would describe Hayley as dependable, prompt, enthusiastic, and diligent. She is willing to work hard and to do what is necessary to succeed. For instance, Ms. Vivian took a content based reading course this last semester, which should help her to address student literacy skills within the music classroom along with helping them to grow as young musicians. During the semester, | have seen Ms. Vivian grow a great deal as a teacher. She is determined to become an outstanding young teacher. Her growth in classroom management, classroom rapport, and instructional delivery have been 2 real joy to witness. She has shown tremendous progress as she gained in experience. This has been greatly assisted by the fact that Hayley has not been reluctant to try new things in an effort to improve her instructional skills. In addition, Ms. Vivian comes from a family that includes professional educators, so she is very aware of the challenges of the profession, as well as options for instructional tools, such as differentiation. 11am certain that Ms. Vivian will make a positive contribution to your students and your school culture.
