yourApplicationsfolderandyouwillhaveaTorBrowser
applicationinyourchosenlanguagethatyoucanpinon
yourDock.

Downloadthearchitectureappropriatefileabove,saveitsomewhere,thenrunoneofthefollowingtwocommandsto
extractthepackagearchive:
tar -xvJf tor-browser-linux32-4.5_LANG.tar.xz

or(forthe64bitversion):
tar -xvJf tor-browser-linux64-4.5_LANG.tar.xz

(whereLANGisthelanguagelistedinthefilename).
Oncethat'sdone,switchtotheTorbrowserdirectorybyrunning:
cd tor-browser_LANG

(whereLANGisthelanguagelistedinthefilename).
TorunTorBrowser,clickeitherontheTorBrowserortheTorBrowserSetupiconorexecutethestarttor
browser.desktopfileinaterminal:
./start-tor-browser.desktop

ThiswilllaunchTorLauncherandoncethatconnectstoTor,itwilllaunchFirefox.DonotunpackorrunTBBasroot.

languageandclickOK(2).Makesureyouhaveatleast80MBoffreediskspaceinthelocationyouselect.Ifyouwantto
leavethebundleonthecomputer,savingittotheDesktopisagoodchoice.Ifyouwanttomoveittoadifferentcomputer
orlimitthetracesyouleavebehind,saveittoaUSBdisk.
ClickInstall(3)Waituntiltheinstallerfinishes.Thismaytakeafewminutestocomplete.

Oncetheinstallationiscomplete,clickFinishtolaunchTorBrowser'swizard.
OnceyouseeTorBrowser'swizardclickConnect
Alternatively,youcanlaunchTorBrowserbygoingtothefolderTorBrowserwhichcanbefoundatthelocationyou
savedthebundleat(Default:Desktop)anddoubleclickontheStartTorBrowserapplication.

OnceTorisready,TorBrowserwillautomaticallybeopened.OnlywebpagesvisitedthroughTorBrowserwillbesent
viaTor.OtherwebbrowserssuchasInternetExplorerarenotaffected.
Onceyouarefinishedbrowsing,closeanyopenTorBrowserwindowsbyclickingonthe
listofwebpagesyouvisitedandanycookieswillbedeleted.

RememberthatToranonymizestheoriginofyourtraffic,anditencryptseverythinginsidetheTornetwork,butitcan't

shoulduseasmuchcareasyouwouldonthenormalscaryInternetuseHTTPSorotherendtoendencryptionand
