Upcoming Events

We are now well into our second term of the


school year. Report cards will go home on March
27th and Parent/Teacher Interviews will follow.
Not all students will require an interview.
However, if you have any questions or concerns
about your childs progress, please do not hesitate
to contact us.

March 2nd 6th


March Break

Math
In March, we will continue to work on the Number
strand of mathematics. We are continuing to
learn our multiplication strategies.
Writing
Students will be working on procedural writing.
We are also focusing on the sentence fluency
trait of writing.
Reading
We are continuing to work at improving our
reading comprehension skills. Students are now
completing reading passages and answering
multiple choice questions.
Multiplication Progression
Please see reverse side of the newsletter for the
order in which we are teaching multiplication facts
to grade four students. This multiplication
progression builds upon the facts that students
already know in a logical manner.

Reminders

Winter Clothing Please ensure that you


child is adequately dressed for the cold
weather, as we go outside even when it is 20
degrees Celsius.

Library We have noticed that many


students are not returning their library books
on time. This is a reminder that our library
day is Thursday.
