A Colloquium on the Horizon!

The Spirit said to Peter, There are three men here looking for you. So get
up, go downstairs, and accompany them without hesitation, because I have sent
them. (Acts 10:19-20)

n November 7, 2015, close to 500 people, delegates

from various backgrounds in the diocese, parishes,
movements, religious communities, etc., have been invited to an important colloquium at Collge Saint-Lambert-Durocher.

Such a JUNCTION of sharing and reflection, by the breath

of the Spirit, every woman and man will be gathering to
experience together the Word that frees us, the dynamism of the Spirit and the mission that has been entrusted to all the baptized.
This event is set within a process, which is taking place in four phases, inspired
by the invitation of the Spirit to Peter in Chapter 10 of the Book of the Acts of
the Apostles.
Phase
Phase
Phase
Phase

1: Get Up! (Starting at Pentecost, May 24, 2015)

2: Go Downstairs! (From August to September 2015)
3: Colloquium (November 7, 2015)
4: Accompany Them! (Return to the Communities)

Each of these phases is an opportunity to deepen an aspect of the mission of the

baptized / confirmed who are called to welcome and reveal the Word.

For each of Phases 1 and 2, a reflective activity is offered. This may be
undertaken alone, as a team of volunteers, with family or within a group or community. At the end of Phase 2, the communities will set about with discernment
to designate the participants in the Colloquium.

The activity of Phase 1 puts an emphasis on the Spirit at work in the lives
of the baptized / confirmed and this is expressed by faith, hope and charity. In
a world and a church undergoing change, the Spirit allows them to stand up and
face with courage the challenges that they are encountering.

The activity of Phase 2 calls on them to acknowledge the Action of the
Spirit at work in the world and this is expressed by fruit that is multifaceted and
varied. The Spirit urges them to encounter, attentively listen and dialogue in
order to transform the way they look and practise.

Phase 3 will allow delegates to have a significant, ecclesial experience
together, enabling them to further pursue the mission.

Phase 4 calls on them to go forth and return to the various parts of the
periphery as joyful witnesses to the Gospel. The delegates will report back to
their groups, movements or communities on their experience of the Colloquium.
