Introduction
A road is a thoroughfare, route, or way on land between two
places that has been paved or otherwise improved to allow
travel by some conveyance, including a horse, cart, bicycle, or
motor vehicle.
Indiahas aroad networkof over 4,689,842 kilometres
(2,914,133mi) in 2013,the second largest road networkin
the world. At 0.66km of roads per square kilometre of land,
the quantitative density of India's road network is similar to
that of the United States (0.65) and far higher than that of
China (0.16) or Brazil (0.20).
Singapore,, with relatively small network of 3411 kms, has
pioneered the modern use of toll roads to enter the most
congested city centre area with theSingapore Area Licensing
Scheme, which has since been replaced with theElectronic
Road Pricing, a form ofelectronic toll collection.

modern day roads in Singapore and India
To analyze and compare the road structure between
India and Singapore
