This recipe my grandmother found her washing clothes when her mother (RIP) in a
pocket of one of her dresses. He kept it and later asked my grandmother where he
had found her, she asked her if she had found in a blue polka dot dress and my
grandmother said yes, then explained that on his last trip had been one days more
at her godmother and she had lent her a dress. Then my grandmother, who loves
to cook, decided to prepare the recipe to see what came out. I remember she
made for the birthday of my grandfather, who does not like cake and we all liked.
When I was 13, my grandmother became ill foot and she needed complete rest.
The birthday of my mother, who loves desserts, was approached and my
grandmother had planned to give her the Carlota for her day, but because of his
standing could not make it. So he asked me for help, she said she could guide me
and I encouraged to make it. In the end, the family liked my Carlota even more
than my grandmother and from then on every birthday or meeting they ask me to
make one.
For me it is a very important recipe because my grandmother taught me and is
something that left me forever and I hope not to forget. It also gives me pleasure
that the family likes the taste and especially the takeoff weight my grandmother to
make one for every holiday.
