Miss Kennedys Classroom Newsletter

Welcome to the
1st Grade!
May 27, 2015

Classroom Setting
This newsletter
contains information for the
school year ahead
and personal information about my
past education.
This newsletter is
to inform parents/
guardians about
my expectations in
the classroom. My
expectations for
my classroom is to
be a safe environment for all students. For all students to have a
safe and fun school
year, During the
school year we
will work on hands
-on activities.
These activities
gets the students
involved in learning and working

well with others.

The activities will
be completed in
class and will help
the students learn
the required information to excel in
the first grade! For
example, we will
demonstrate the
life cycle of a butterfly using a plate
and pasta shells. I
want to have a safe
and fun learning
environment for all
students. Listed on
the right hand side
are my classroom
rules for the students. As an activity to get you involved with your
child, I would like
for each student to
fill a small brown
paper bags with

items that help describe them. Remember no harmful objects should

be brought to
school. For example, in my bag I
would have a pencil because I am a
teacher, a purple
pen because purple
is my favorite color, a picture of
Mickey mouse because I love Disney World, and a
book because I
love reading. I
hope everyone has
a great summer
and I am looking
forward
to the
school
year
ahead!

honor of teaching your
children this year! I graduated from high school
in 2012 from Westwood
Schools in Camilla, Ga.
My college education
comes from two institutions. I earned my Asso-

ciate of Science degree

Agricultural College in
the summer of 2014. I
have recently earned my
Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education

year with a lot of learn-

ing and a lot of fun along

the way! If you have nay
questions or concerns
about the upcoming
school year you can contact me via email at tinsleykennedy@gmail.com.

I encourage all students to read before coming to

the first grade. This will keep those brains working
over the summer break. I encourage every student to join the summer reading program. Here
are a few of my suggestions students should read
over the summer. Please explore more books
than the ones listed below.
