Preamble: whereas denying people ample provisions for basic daily life needs
SECTION 1 Findings:
congress makes the following findings
(1)Minimum wage has not been raised since the year 2008. People are struggling to live as
prices for daily materials raise.
(2)This raise could also narrow the inequality gap between the rich, promoting better
living standards for the poor people of Michigan. The average person in Michigan needs
to work 80 hours just to pay rents for a two bedroom apartment.
SECTION 2 Purpose:
The bill provides that all shops within the district of Michigan must pay their employees a
minimum of $10 per hour work to ease workers of economic burdens.
SECTION 3 general Provisions:
This bill ensures that all people working in the state of Michigan will receive a minimum
of 10 dollars for an hour. If the person is not properly recompensed for his/her work, the
person can file a lawsuit on the employer.
SECTION 4 Definitions:
- shop owners, industries, companies, factories, etc. must provide papers
showing that they are paying their employees with a minimum of $10 per hour
with the employees signature.
- If any owner of shops, companies, industries, factories, etc. fails to provide
papers showing that the employees have received a minimum of $10 per hour, the
owner will be suspended from the job and be brought to court.
- Employees can also file complaints themselves if they do not receive a
minimum wage of $10. However, proof must be provided.
