BRANDING GUIDE

WWU STUDENT S FOR FARMWORKER JUSTICE

Standing with Farmworkers. Standing for Justice.

INTRODUCTION
Western Washington Univer sity Students for Farm worker Justice
was founded in 2014 af ter students were asked to join in solidarity
with the farm worker s of Sakuma Bros in Skagit County,
Washington.
This Associated Students club, which is dedicated to the suppor t
and assistance of the farm worker s and raising awareness about
local farm worker issues, meets once a week on Thur sdays in the
Humanities building on WWUs campus.
The committee is non-hierarchical with no of ficial titles in place.

The club participates in pickets at local grocery stores, like


Costco, were they boycott Sakuma berries distributed by
Driscolls, in an ef fort to raise awareness.

To give our students and community members the opportunity


to bring social change to Whatcom County.
This is our of ficial tagline for Western Students for Farmworker
Justice:

This tagline conveys our commitment towards supporting
farmworkers and working to establish change.

OUR BRAND

We are a growing Associated Student club of Western


Washington University. Currently we work to serve farmworkers
at Sakuma Brothers Farms by showing our solidarity.
Club meetings are open to all students and community
members concerned with the well being of farmworkers.

BRANDING PERSONALITY
Our personality is unique to our brand and our goal is to evoke a
strong reaction to promote change in our community.

BRANDING VOICE

Western Students for Farmworker Justice has a voice that is


determined, fierce and passionate about our cause.

Messages are sent out as a call-to-action, with active


participation from students and community members.
WSFJ hopes to have students working together with Familias
Unidas por la Justicia and combine both voices into one unified
voice.

Colors to be used are Pantone 201, Pantone 412 and White

Fonts to use:

Franklin Gothic Medium

Farmworkers should always be one word.
Club is abbreviated as WSFJ

This is our official logo and it needs to be placed on all


works distributed by club.

BRANDING GUIDELINES
The purpose of this branding guide is to make ourselves more
recognizable to the Western campus and the surrounding
community.
Be consistent. It is important to follow this branding guide to
ensure all work is noticeable and unified.

The Associated Students logos must be present


on every printed document because we are an
AS club at Western.

PARTING STATEMENT

This is our branding guide as well as our overall message.


It should be used to promote our club and ensure our work,
mission and accomplishments are recognized by the
community.
