Contractor has submitted a translated version of Product Quality Certificates issued
by Highway Science Institute of Ministry of Transportation in Beijing Haidian
District for the following:

White-color hot-melt reflective type, and

Glass Beads for Road Marking

The certificates were issued in June, 2014 and are valid up to June, 2016 for each.
The two products are to be used in conjunction with resinous material in the form of
liquid. The certificate for the liquid is not yet available.
A sample containing the above two items and a liquid was delivered at the
laboratory for physical inspection.
The Mfr. of White-color hot-melt is Beijing Branch Company of Shenyang Modern
Traffic Facility Co. Limited and manufacturer of Glass Beads is Hebei Chiye Glass
Beads Co. Limited both located in China.
The certificates conform only to Traffic Industry Standard of PRC JT/T2802004<<Road Marking Coating>> for White-color hot-melt reflective type and
National Standard of PRC GB/T24722-2009 <<Glass Beads for Road Marking>>.
The Project Specification specifies AASHTO T 247 for Glass Beads for Road Paint
and AASHTO T 249 for White and Yellow Reflective Thermoplastic Stripping Material
(Solid Form).
Requirements of PRC specification differ from ASSHTO for White-color hot-melt
reflective type in:
Chemical composition and
Physical properties
For Glass Beads AASHTO differs from PRC specification in physical properties, e.g.

ii)
iii)

Crushing resistance,
Moisture Resistance-Flow characteristics, and
Flotation in xylene
