Chemzyme CD

Rapid Desizer

Chemzyme CD is a bacterial alpha amylase, produced by submerged fermentation

of Bacillus microorganism. It is designed for the desizing of fabrics.

Properties
Chemzyme CD is a brown liquid in appearance.
Chemzyme CD is a non-food grade product intended for technical applications
in textiles only.
It can be used in all classical processes. It is not necessary to modify the desizing
process when replacing conventional enzymes with Chemzyme CD.
Chemzyme CD breaks down starch in textile size without any negative effect on
the textile fiber.

Compatibility
Chemzyme CD does not require addition of calcium salts and is compatible with
wetting agents and surfactants normally used in desizing process.

Application
Chemzyme CD breaks down starch in textile size without any negative effect on the
textile fiber. The optimum dosage of Chemzyme CD will depend on desizing
conditions, size composition and type of fabric.

Safety
Enzymes are proteins and inhalation of dust or aerosols may induce sensitization
and may cause allergic reactions in sensitized individuals. Some enzymes may
irritate the skin, eyes and mucous membranes upon prolonged contact.
Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection. Wash
contaminated clothes.

Storage and Packing

Enzymes generally loose activity overtime depending on storage temperature. Cool
conditions are recommended.
Chemzyme CD is supplied in 200 kg plastic drums.
