ARINC 404 STANDARD
INTRODUCTION
ATR is based on the ARINC (AERONAUTICAL INCORPORATED) 404 standard
Aeronautical Incorporated established in 1929 and has been owned by airlines until its sale to the Carlyle
Group in 2007 when it expanded to contribute to transport communications
Provides Communications and System engineering solutions to 8 industries:

ARINC Standards are developed by the Airlines Electronic Engineering Committee which is only one major
activity of ARINC
ARINC Standards specify the air transport avionics equipment and systems used by more than 10,000
commercial aircraft worldwide.
STANDARD OUTLINE
ARINC developed standards for trays and boxes to hold
in line-replaceable units in aircraft. These permit
electronics to be rapidly replaced without complex
fasteners or test equipment.
ARINC 404A covers Transport Equipment Cases and
Racking,
ARINC 404B-1 covers Connectors, Electrical, Rack and
Panel, Rectangular, Rear Release Crimp Contacts
