    After completing maintenance on an overhead crane, a trial run found noise coming from the gear assemblies in the second and third stages of the gearboxes. As gearbox and gear assembly work was not included in the original scope of work, the gearboxes need to be checked and the gear assemblies revamped to identify and address the internal condition causing the noise.

    After the completion of Refurbishment & Maintenance work of EOT Crane-30T Hoist, trial has

    been taken. In trail we observed some noise from Gear assembly of Gearboxes 2nd / 3rd stage.
    As per our discussion with Vendor & PO/SO, Gearbox / Gear Assembly job did not

    consider, for Comprehensive servicing resultant we have necessitate to check gearbox


    & revamp the Gear assembly.

    Except the Main Driving Shaft Keyway wear & tear, Gearbox has no physical damages found. At
    that time we were unable to identify the internal condition of Gearbox without dismantling it and
    its a big job. At that state we unable to drive Gearbox to conform
    examine

    Dear Sir,
    After the completion of Refurbishment & Maintenance work of EOT Crane-30T Hoist, trial has

    Assembly.
