Who am I

By: Noah Desmarais

Before Me
I am of Dutch and French descent.
My Grandparents from my mom's
side of the family moved with their
family from Holland immediately
after World War II to have a better
life.
Ancestors from my Dad's side of
the family moved from France such
a long time ago, that none of my
family members today can
remember the year.

Where?

Early Years 1-3 Years Old

I was born on July 2nd, 2000, in
Niagara Falls Ontario.
Ever since I was a baby, I have
lived in the same house, which
happens to be just as old as me.
Probably the largest factor of my
life, is that as soon as it was
possible, my parents introduced
me to the sport of hockey.

Early Years 1-3 Years Old

I lived as an only child for two
years, until my brother,
Landyn, was born.
Like me, Landyn was
introduced to hockey at a
young age.
We have been team mates and
opposition - but either way the
games are intense. Needless to
say, we are a hockey family.

Early Years 1-3 Years Old

Unfortunately, my Dad wanted
me to grow up being a Leaf's
fan, but I took an interest in
the Calgary Flames at about
three years of age.... good
thing too.
At three years old, my hockey
life started when my Parents
put me into Can Skate.

Mid Years 3-10 Years Old

My life really got exciting when I
was four years old.
I was enrolled into hockey and
played pre-novice for three
years until I was six.
After pre-novice I moved into
Novice hockey. This is where we
actually began playing games.
I started kindergarten at the age
of four, at Ridgeway Public
School.

Mid Years 3-10 Years Old

I continued to play house league
hockey, until the age of seven, when
I tried out for the Fort Erie single A
team, and made it as a defenseman.
As Ridgeway Public only went up to
grade 4 - I graduated at the age of
9. The next school year I began at
Bertie for grade 5-8.
Aside from hockey, I played travel
soccer as a goalie at the age of 10
and 11, until I stopped at the age of
12 .

Late Years 10-14 Years Old

I remained in Bertie from grade
5 to grade 8. Last June I
graduated from grade 8 as an
honour roll student.
I continued to play Travel
hockey from the day I started
to this very day.
During my second year of travel
hockey, I was named captain of
my team.

Extra Information
My family takes a yearly trip in July up
to my cottage in Quebec. My grandma
lives there so we get to visit with her
while we are there.
I have been lucky enough to attend 1-2
NHL games a year.
My favourites:

My food is pizza
My favourite colour is orange
My type of music is rap
My favourite movies are Miracle, 42 and
goon.

Extra Information
I've taken approximately 5-7 vacations
with my family to Florida, and one to
Costa Rica.
I've also had some close calls in my life,
these include nearly drowning when I was
8, having a tumor removed when I was 10,
and passing out from heat when I was 12.
Two weeks ago, I had my wisdom teeth
removed.

The End
Eat, sleep, breathe hockey!!!!
