PURPOSE:
Toexplorethereactivitytrendsofmetalsingroups,and
periodsoftheperiodictable.

PRELABQUESTIONS:
1)Groupsaretheverticalcolumnsintheperiodictable.Theperiodsare
thehorizontalrows,andthegroupsoftheperiodictablethatshowalotof
similaritiesarecalledfamilies.

2)Allofthemetalsarelocatedtoleftofthemetalloidboundary.

3)twonamesofmetalfamiliesarecalledalkalinemetalswhicharethe
firstgroupoftheperiodictableandthealkalineearthmetalswhicharethe

eachmetalandit'sreactivity.
