Introduction
-

Due to the requirement for installing permanent water injection pigging

facilities, water disposal facilities are required. Eight waterd disposal wells
shall be strategically distributed amongst 8 clusters.

Scope of the Document

The scope comprises the design of the following pipeline systems for HC WAG
scenario at Al Dabbiya field.
The pipeline routes onshore of natural islands comprise of sand/ sabkha
combination. The PROJECT comprises of pipelines and flow lines in the following
services:

Production Gathering System

Water Injection System
Gas Injection System
Export Oil Pipeline
Export Gas Pipeline
Water supply pipeline
Water disposal pipeline

Site and Environmental Data (6)

The available data are not usable for design. Sea water density is rather high (1032
kg/m3) ?? need to put reference of the data.
Metocean Data Collection Procedure (6.8)
As most of the offshore pipeline will be buried, I think return period of 1 year can
give a bit conservative value for the analyses. We can ask for a shorter return
period (3 and 6 months).
Coordinate System (6.9)
The project will be under two Geodetic zone (39 and 40). At interchange locations,
both UTM ZONE co-ordinates shall be mentioned in Pipeline Alignment Sheets and
Route Plans.

Base Scope Major Activities (7.2)

Baseline intelligent pig survey of the production, export oil, export gas, gas
injection and water injection lines.
Pre-engineering survey (topo, bathy, geothecnical, and marine survey)
Track, road, rig, highway, railway crossings. The crossings shall be
constructed by micro tunneling/ thrust boring/ HDD/ Open cut.
