With our final weeks here, we would like to wish you all a very good June, and also
a very happy, safe and relaxing summer holiday.

LITERACY

MATH

In Literacy, we continue to study

different types of non-fiction texts,
having the students create their own
non-fiction texts as well as looking
at other forms of non-fiction texts
(e.g., menus, reports and posters.)

In math we will be finishing up our

unit on probability and moving into
studying fractions and money. You
can work with your child by letting
adding coins up to $1.00.

In writing, we are continuing to

work on procedural writing and
looking at how to carefully edit our
work to include capitals and periods
in the correct locations.
Again we ask that you continue to
read with or have your child read for
20 minutes each day. When reading
you can review any of the strategies
taught in class such as predictions,
connections,
visualization,
and
asking questions. Please remember
