SOS Children's Village- Dhodial, Pakistan

SOS Children's Villages is an international non-governmental social development

organisation that cares for impoverished children, often orphaned, in dire need of help.
Visited the SOS village in northern Pakistan, an area hit especially hard by
the 2005 earthquake and taught children (ages 6- 16) to speak and read
English, a skill essential for success in the business world in Pakistan

Volunteered as a community organizer cleaning up local rivers and marshes
in the Fairfax county area of trash and debris

Worked instructing groups of 20 children (ages ranging from 5-14) in 2-D art
(drawing, painting, printmaking), 3-D (sculpture, clay) and 4D (Art in motion:
creative movement, animation). Worked with children from an array of
backgrounds, from special needs children to the developmentally advanced.
