I. Statement of Purpose
The purpose of this lesson is to teach learners to administer a quiz using the Socrative
App or Socrative Website. At the end of the lesson the learner will be able to log in to
Socrative, create a quiz, administer a quiz and receive a report containing the quiz
results.
II. Needs Analysis
1. Do you have access to a computer or tablet?

4. What type of data collection tools are you currently using to analyze quiz grades?
5. Have you used any online programs to administer quizzes or assignments in the
past?

IV. Learner Analysis
1. What are the demographics of the learning group?
2. What are the attitudes of the learning group?
3. What is the computer literacy skill level of the learning group?
4. Does the learning group have access to the necessary tools needed?
5. Are there any special needs of the learning group?
6. What are the learning styles of the learning group?
The learning group is comprised of 5 females and 2 males. They are all in the age range
of 45-60. The group is interested in the topic and seems to have a positive attitude
about learning. The group is computer literate, knows how to download software and
use the internet. The group has access to the tools needed to use for the lesson. The
learning group is overall visual learners who do not require any special accommodations
for physical or learning disabilities.
V. Objectives
1.

Students will log in to their Socrative account.


1.1 Students will create a user account on Socrative Teacher.
1.2 Students will access their user account on Socrative Teacher.

Students will create a quiz using the Socrative Teacher account.


2.1 Students will add and edit questions.

3. Students will administer a quiz using the Socrative website.

VII. Evaluation
Complete the following task to show your understanding of the use of Socrative.
1. Create a 3-question quiz on Socrative for me to take. Include one of each
question type, multiple choice, short answer and true/false.
2. Send me your class code and have your quiz open from 8:00 am 10:00 am on
Monday.
3. Once I have completed the quiz email my score report to yourself then forward it
to me.
