A Professionalism, Knowledge and Understanding
Her lessons were well organized and she knew the level of the students and made material to
suit those needs.
B Planning for Learning
Directions were clear and concise and student centered activities worked to help achieve
lesson objectives.
Transitions throughout the lesson flowed smoothly. Throughout the practicum, Layla worked
on making her objectives more outcomes based. Well done.
C Implementing and Managing Learning
Activities were short but met the objectives and allowed the lesson to flow at a good pace.
She had a variety of approaches to activate schemata, have students work cooperatively and
focus on developing the students abilities.
E Monitoring and Assessment
Was able to use differentiated questioning depending on the ability of the students. Feedback
was well phrased and students responded to this.
F Critical Reflection
Was open to suggestions and changed her approach accordingly. She will need to focus more
on group size and the affect it has on student output.
General Comments
There was a growth in Laylas ability to take charge of the class and teach effectively. Well
done Layla.
