SAMPLE OF PROJECT PROPOSAL

You may use the following as a

guide for your presentation:

1. Project description /
background
Present the background {the

problem, opportunity or situation that

brings about the proposed project}
Explain why the project is important
and give your rationale. Organise the
argument so that the readers could
see the rationale for the proposed
project.

2. Goals and objectives of the

project

State what you propose to do about the

problem, how you plan to help the
people involved/affected by the project,
take advantage of the opportunity and
how you intend to help them with the
situation.
The objective statements are very
straightforward, normally brief but
specific in identifying the aims or goals
of the project

Step 3 : Beneficiaries of the

project
Make sure that your project
benefits the following group of
people :
a. Government
b. Community
c. Workplace

Step 4 : Possible impact of the

Project
Discuss the benefits of carrying
out such project.
Focus on the advantages only.

Step 5 : Project Timeline

Provide a schedule, including
major milestones or checkpoints
in the project.
It is advisable for you to make
use of a calendar in showing
progress of the proposed project.

Step 6 : Tasks and

responsibilites
Since you will be working in groups, assign
everyone in the group to be in-charge of several
posts.
For example :

State the main financier {if there

is any}

7 : Budget and financing
If this project is self-funded, state
the reason(s).

Step 8 : Other relevant

information
You may to want introduce :
a. logo of the project
b. the target location
c. promotion
d. poster
e. tagline
