Duties:

Plan, organize, schedule, supervise and delivers visitor services operations to provide visitors of
the park with opportunities to discover, appreciate, learn about and enjoy the place and its natural
and/or cultural resources and understand their significance to Canada.

MPS 04 Bilingual Visitors Service Attendant


Employer: Parks Canada, Government of Canada, Riding Mountain National Park, Wasagaming,
Manitoba
Time Frame: May September 2012, MaySeptember 2013
Duties:

Effectively navigate and process payments and reservations on the Parks Reservation System
Inform visitors of park rules and regulations to ensure their safety and a positive experience in the
National Park.
Answer questions regarding the park over the phone or in person
Deal with visitors difficulties or problems within the campground
Perform general campsite maintenance

Volunteer Experience
Western Manitoba Science Fair (March 2014)
I volunteered as a French judge for the Western Manitoba Science Fair in Brandon, MB.
Manitoba 4H Ambassadors (2011-2014)
As a member of this organization, I was able to act as a 4 H resource at club, area, and provincial
levels while promoting 4H within and outside of the program. This can be achieved by attending
events held by clubs such as rallies, camps, or public speaking events. Volunteering for this
organization not only allowed me to maintain involvement with the great program but also
provided me with opportunities for leadership development, improved my communication and
public speaking abilities, and also allowed for social growth.
Can Skate (Winter, 2013/2014)
I volunteered as a can skate learn to skate helper once a week in Carberry for the winter.
Kindergarten Lunch Buddy (2009)
When I was in grade 12, I spent my lunch hours in the Kindergarten room as a lunch helper.

Interests
Traveling I have been fortunate to have visited many countries in North America, Europe, and
the Middle East. I have obtained a vast amount of knowledge and experience thanks to these
travel opportunities. These visits influenced my French major and geography minor.
Sports - I enjoy participating in and watching a variety of both team and individual sports such
as curling, skiing, golf, baseball, and more.
Music - I took piano lessons for a period growing up, and played in the band and participated in
the extracurricular jazz band all through high school. I can play clarinet and saxophone. I possess
the skills to read music and do theory.
