Dear Governor Walker,

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 2015 Iowa Straw Poll,
which will be held Saturday, August 8 in Boone, Iowa.
The Iowa Straw Poll is a beloved Iowa tradition that represents the best of
American politics. Many Iowans have attended all six straw polls, and
some even remember casting votes for Ronald Reagan or George H.W.
Bush at the first one in 1979. The seventh Iowa Straw Poll will follow in
this grand tradition and is an important opportunity for you to personally
interact with Iowas Republican Caucus voters.
However, much has changed since 1979 and sometimes cherished
traditions like the Iowa GOP Straw Poll must change too.
We wanted to make the 2015 Iowa Straw Poll more accessible and
affordable to candidates and attendees alike. We have removed some of the
significant costs associated with participating in the Straw Poll and have
returned the event to its grassroots. Were confident these reforms will
make the seventh-ever Iowa Straw Poll the best yet.
Attached is an outline of those reforms as well as additional information for
your campaign in preparation of the August 8 Iowa Straw Poll. We thank
you for your leadership, your commitment to the Republican Party and the
Iowa Caucuses, and your commitment to serve our Republic.
