    needtoemancipateherself.Shepossessedexactlywhatnaturehadgivenhertoadminister

    fromhispositioninrelationtothewoman.
    IfthemansworldissaidtobetheState,hisstruggle,hisreadinesstodevotehispowerstothe
    serviceofthecommunity,thenitmayperhapsbesaidthatthewomansisasmallerworld.For
    herworldisherhusband,herfamily,herchildren,andherhome.Butwhatwouldbecomeofthe
    greaterworldiftherewerenoonetotendandcareforthesmallerone?Howcouldthegreater
    worldsurviveiftherewerenoonetomakethecaresofthesmallerworldthecontentoftheir
    lives?
    No,thegreaterworldisbuiltonthefoundationofthissmallerworld.Thisgreatworldcannot
    surviveifthesmallerworldisnotstable.Providencehasentrustedtothewomanthecaresof
    thatworldwhichisherveryown,andonlyonthebasisofthissmallerworldcanthemansworld
    beformedandbuiltup.Thetwoworldsarenotantagonistic.Theycomplementeachother,they
    belongtogetherjustasmanandwomanbelongtogether.
    Wedonotconsideritcorrectforthewomantointerfereintheworldoftheman,inhismain
    sphere.Weconsideritnaturalifthesetwoworldsremaindistinct.Totheonebelongsthe
    strengthoffeeling,thestrengthofthesoul.Totheotherbelongsthestrengthofvision,of
    toughness,ofdecision,andofthewillingnesstoact.Intheonecasethisstrengthdemandsthe
    willingnessofthewomantoriskherlifetopreservethisimportantcellandtomultiplyit,andin
    theothercaseitdemandsfromthemanthereadinesstosafeguardlife.
    Thesacrificeswhichthemanmakesinthestruggleofhisnation,thewomanmakesinthe
    preservationofthatnationinindividualcases.Whatthemangivesincourageonthebattlefield,
    thewomangivesineternalselfsacrifice,ineternalpainandsuffering.Everychildthatawoman
    bringsintotheworldisabattle,abattlewagedfortheexistenceofherpeople.Andbothmust
    thereforemutuallyvalueandrespecteachotherwhentheyseethateachperformsthetaskthat
    NatureandProvidencehaveordained.Andthismutualrespectwillnecessarilyresultfromthis
    separationofthefunctionsofeach.
    Itisnottrue,asJewishintellectualsassert,thatrespectdependsontheoverlappingofthe
    spheresofactivityofthesexesthisrespectdemandsthatneithersexshouldtrytodothat

    whichbelongstothesphereoftheother.Itliesinthelastresortinthefactthateachknowsthat
    theotherisdoingeverythingnecessarytomaintainthewholecommunity.Soourwomens
    movementisforusnotsomethingwhichinscribesonitsbannerasitsprogramthefightagainst
    men,butsomethingwhichhasasitsprogramthecommonfighttogetherwithmen.Forthenew
    NationalSocialistnationalcommunityacquiresafirmbasis,preciselybecausewehavegained
    thetrustofmillionsofwomenasfanaticalcomrades
    Whereaspreviouslytheprogramsoftheliberal,intellectualistwomensmovementscontained
    manypoints,theprogramofourNationalSocialistwomensmovementhasbutonesinglepoint,
    andthatpointisthechild,thattinycreaturewhichmustbebornandgrowstrongandwhich
    alonegivesmeaningtothewholelifestruggle.
