Problem
Laundry is sometimes very heavy to carry downstairs
Question
How can I make laundry easier to transport between
floors?
Solutions
I will make a pulley system to deliver laundry
Background Information
.This has not been invented
.Rope is very durable
.If I tie the rope to the stairs then It wont leave any marks
.If I use a hanger then I could attach almost anything
.Rope is very strong and can lift lots of weight
.The curtains mechanism inspired me to do the pulley
system idea
Project Cost
Rope : 10 DHS
Hanger : 6 DHS or Free Laundry one.
Basket : Any Free bag or basket from the house
Total Cost :16 DHS
5m
Installation
1. Take the height measurement : (h) and cut the rope
2x(h).
2. Pull down the rope from top and tied it together with the
hanger.
3. Hang the basket with the Hanger.
4. You can start pulling up or down the basket using the
rope smoothly Voila!!
It is less than 10 min of work and you will have a quick
lifting useful setup at home.

I tested it by:
Putting lots of heavy things
in it then transporting them
between floors.
I calculated the price of the
rope and the hanger which
was 16 dirham (the basket
was free)
Conclusion
The contraption solved the problem because it was made with easy to use
materials and the mechanism was inspired by the curtain mechanism. Sadly the
Laundry Lifter left small marks on the stairs. The Laundry Lifter can hold more
than just laundry. The materials were cheap and The Laundry Lifter was easy to
make. The Laundry Lifter used very few materials.
Ideas for future research
Since The Laundry Lifter made marks on the stairs in the future I should make
the rope covered with a soft materials. The idea could look better so I could
make it look better. I could make it out of some lighter but more durable
materials. The contraptions could have a more organized inside. The
contraption could have multiple versions of the contraption.
