RE: CREW PROGRAMME
ELMI hosts an annual series of Ccareer RrEeadiness
Wworkshops during the June/July school holidays. The aim
of the workshops is to expose Grade 12 learners to their
particular fields of interest that ELMI may offer as well as
to get the look and feel of a professional and functioning
College environment..
Workshops are offered from sections of full time
programme offerings in interactive and entertaining
workshops with themWorkshops specifically directed at
the fields of Graphic Design, IT (eEnd User Computing as
well as International Technical ITfields), Hairdressing and
Business and Finance are offered.
ELMI has identified a dire need for such an initiative with
many school leavers still uncertain of which study or
career paths to follow and the CREW programme provides
such an opportunity There is at no charge to the students
or parents for these workshops as ELMIs aim with this
initiative is to offer a service to the school-leaving
community of East London. While providing valuable
practical knowledge to the youth and a big thank you to
the local schools in East London.
There are significant costs to ELMI of this offeringwhen
engaging in such initiatives as CREW and. We We appeal to
your organisation for any assistance, particularly in the
following areas where we seek assistance if possible:.
