Library and Learning Services

Access to off campus e-resources COLLABORATIVE PARTNERS

DECLARATION
Library and Learning Services at the University of East London (UEL) provides access to a wide range
of electronic information resources. Under current licensing arrangements, these electronic resources
are made available to members of our University, and most of them can be accessed both on and off
campus.
Academic staff in collaborating institutions who teach UEL students may have access to these
electronic resources where licenses permit and so long as they sign this declaration confirming their
status as associate lecturers.
In granting access to electronic resources licensed to UEL, I (the undersigned) undertake to use these
resources solely in support of the delivery of programmes delivered in partnership with UEL. In
particular, I agree that I will not use such access for any commercial purposes whatsoever.
I understand and accept that the honorary title of associate lecturer relates only to my role in the
delivery of UEL programmes to UEL students through approved collaborative agreements. I further
accept that this title does not confer or imply any status as an employee of UEL.
I further undertake to keep secure the username and password issued to me and I will not divulge
these to a third party.
I understand that these are strict requirements of the licences granted to UEL and that certain
electronic services may be strictly excluded by the nature of the agreed licence.
I undertake to inform Library and Learning Services at UEL if I am no longer associated with UEL
programmes.
