EIGHT ARRESTED IN TWO MONTH LONG INVESTIGATION
IMD, une 14,2015 ~The Baltimore Police Department and the Drug Enforcement
Administration announced the arrest of eight suspects during a two manth lang investigation.
During the couse of se investigation eleven suspects were developed and were ultimately
Indicted and charged with conspiracy and distribution of drugs.
‘The joint investigation targeted both perpetrators of valence and drug distribution in the are of
Poplar Grove and Westwood Avenue. One af the suspects charged ls 24-year-old Kevin Pyatt, who
has also been chargeé with the double shooting invlvng a 9-yea-ld over Memorial Day
weekend
‘On Wedhnesday, June 10,2015, members ofthe Special Enforcement Section along with agents
{om the DEA served "en search and seizure warrants throughout the west side ofthe city. Among
the property recovered were five handguns, drugs and paraphernalia,
“This was the result of targeted proactive enforcement by ou officers remaining engogedin the
crime fight an taking criminal to jail, The Baltimore Police Department will continue to arrest,
those offenders wo are causing destruction to our communities,” Police Commissioner Anthony
\W. Bats sad. “Due tothe commitment of investigators firearms recovered and the individuals

‘These arrests ae the atest product of a continued collaboration between officers in the Special
Enforcement Section the Drug Enforcement Adminstration, and the United States Marshals,
‘isis the second announcement of major arrests involving individual who are responsible for
both vilence and drug eistibution by the Baltimore Police Department this week.
