Good evening everyone. My name is Jayden Garcia.

Thank you for taking the time to


come and support the class of 2018 in a memorable night. Tonight we will be giving you all a
great show. At the beginning of the semester we were introduced to the Ancient Greek tragedy
Antigone by Sophocles. After we read Antigone each class was divided into 13 groups. Each
group was instructed to write a script and create a storyboard of an original idea for a tragic
play. All the plays were great, but we had to narrow it down to six plays per class. We crafted
those six plays into more detailed scripts and storyboards. Those plays were presented to their
class and put to vote. Tonight you will be seeing the number one play from each class.

Thank you ladies and gentlemen for coming out tonight and watching all of these wonderful
performances. Im _____ and Im ____ and we are part of the class of 2018 , and your closing
host for tonight. We hope you all enjoyed these performances tonight, all of these students that
came up to perform tonight worked so hard and deserve a round of applause. Wed also like to
give a round of applause to our teachers Jill Chiodini, Erin Wyatt, for coaching through this
project and creating such a fun experience for all us students. Jorge Cabrera and Jocelyn Peck
for all their hard work in helping us run errands around to create amazing sets. Chris mutter for
helping with the lightning and sound. Also thank you to all the teachers whose helped any way
to produce this memorable project. Before making this tough decision last night was a private
performance for the judges of the san diego theater and four students here at high tech high
international who are two sophomores and two juniors who have theatre experience to judge
and pick the winners for our awards. It took them such a long time to choose because we have
so many good actors and actresses. Now to announce the awards for..
