Part 4 of wild starts out where Cheryl is walking and needs a ride to continue the pct.She is then
approached by a man with messy hair and a car full of junk,overflowing his windows. Jimmy
carter the man in the messy car ask if he can interview Cheryl for the Hobo Times, "He drove
around the country interviewing "folks" who lived the hobo life." Why did jimmy carter assume
Cheryl was a Hobo? Did she then believe she was a Hobo after looking down at herself? How
did being called a hobo emotionally affect her?

Chapter 11: Cheryl decides to call Paul from a pay phone where they talk for hours.cheryl
begins to miss Paul and her old life and says she misses him but not like a husband ,but as a
best friend "it didn't seem like he was my ex husband. It seemed like he was my best friend."
How did calling Paul make Cheryl feel after their conversation? What did Cheryl feel as she
talked to Paul? Why did Cheryl call Paul after leaving the restaurant?

Chapter 12: Cheryl leaves her bag back at Kennedy meadows with her water. She decided to
hike to the next water tank which is 15 miles away, she then arrives to the water tank where
there is was no water "I stood motionless for a moment,paralyzed with dread.i gazed into the
tank to confirm what was true.there was no water." After seeing there was no water in the tank
how did Cheryl feel about herself and the hike?
What did Cheryl do to get water?
What other big physical problem was Cheryl having during her hike?
