Application
The NorrPad is a glass fiber pad type air filter ideally suited for use as a prefilter on gas turbines, compressors
and other rotating machinery where airflow is generally smooth.
Construction
The media is constructed with glass fibers which extend across the pad in unbroken strands. The fibers at air
entry side are larger and less numerous than those at the air exit face, increasing density through the depth of
the pad. Where the fibers intersect, they are bonded with a thermosetting adhesive, imparting resilience.
Benefits
The NorrPad is an economical solution being a disposable pad, without a beverage board or plastic wrapper, and
offers an efficiency rating of G2 or G4. The varying density of the NorrPad ensures that dust load is distributed
through the depth of the filter, increasing dust holding capacity and service life. The pad is green/yellow on the
exit face to identify the direction of installation. To further improve performance and lifetime, the media is
coated with a non-hazardous thixotropic adhesive to prevent collected particulate from being re-entrained in
the airflow.
