ENERGY SURVEY FOR ORACLE CORPORATION

Case study 5 Domestic co-generation (proton exchange membrane)

The challenge
Oracle invited BSRIA to conduct an energy survey to provide an
independent view on two of its UK buildings energy consumption. This was
for the purpose of comparing the buildings energy use with a survey
previously conducted on its US buildings. The energy survey was to include
identification of potential energy wastages and any possible solutions.
" We approached BSRIA for
their independent status and
technical expertise to
provide a professional
perspective on our energy
consumption, establishing
where we are and how to
begin to make
improvements"

The process
In response to this request BSRIA provided the following outputs:
A site inspection report
In depth energy data analysis

CLIFF HILTON

Corporation UK Ltd

Sub metering areas of high energy use

An EPC and DEC rating and certificates
Analysis of ratings and further comparison with UK benchmarks
A final report identifying problems and recommending solutions

The benefits
Improved understanding of both buildings energy consumption
Independent perspective on energy issues surrounding the buildings,
showing buildings perform to good practice against Energy

Evidence based research to present to US head offices
Knowledge on steps that can be taken to improve energy efficiency on
