1. Briefly describe the field

experience. What did you learn about
technology facilitation and leadership
from completing this field experience?

I created a monthly newsletter for

my department. The newsletter
went out at the end of every month
via student handouts and the
department blog page. I learned that
technology facilitation has to be well
planned with specific deadlines that
must be upheld.

2. How did this learning relate to the
knowledge (what must you know),
skills (what must you be able to do)
and dispositions (attitudes, beliefs,
enthusiasm) required of a technology
facilitator or technology leader?
(Refer to the standards you selected in
Part I. Use the language of the PSC
standards in your answer and reflect
on all 3knowledge, skills, and
dispositions.)
This field experience related to my

learning how to facilitate and inspire

student learning and creativity. The
newsletter was a way to highlight the
new and innovative things happening in
the physical education department.
Students made it their monthly goal to
create work and be involved in
experiences that were newsletter worthy.
The newsletter allowed me the
experience of learning and teaching
digital tools with my coworkers. The
practice made me comfortable with the
tool and I feel that others are
comfortable with me teaching and
leading in this area.

3. Describe how this field experience

impacted school improvement, faculty
development or student learning at
your school. How can the impact be
assessed?
This field experience impacted school
improvement by allowing parents and
students to see what they may not have
known about my department. It was a
way to highlight the learning that takes
place. The teachers who were
responsible for adding to the newsletter
began to feel comfortable with writing
and editing their own articles and finding
new and different things to include. The
impact can be assessed through parent
and teacher surveys to see what they are
gaining and what they still have a desire
to know.
