MICROSOFT PROJECT EXERCISE

An aerospace company has received a contract from NASA for the final assembly of a space
module for an upcoming mission. The Project Manager has identified two types of critical
resources, engineers and technicians that are needed in the project. Following table lists the
project tasks, their precedence relationships, durations, material cost and resource requirements.
The indicated resources are needed for the duration of each task.

Project start date is determined as Monday, 28 February 2014


Schedule the project from the project start date.
3 engineers at $16/hr and 7 technicians at $11/hr are available for the duration of the project.
Precedence is the classical finish-to-start.
All activities are of fixed duration and to be scheduled as soon as possible.
17 April 2014 is non-working day.
Show Critical tasks in the Gantt Chart.
Change the view to Tracking Gantt Chart.
Mark task 1, 2 and 3 as 100% complete, task 4 as 75% complete, task 5 as 25% complete
and
task 6 as 50% complete.
Create a resource cost summary for this project.
Preview the Cash Flow Report.
