MODULATING FLOAT CHAMBER CONTROL
Function
The modulating float chamber control shall be a chamber mounted, float activated
, multi-ported pilot control that provides a varying flow capacity from zero flo
w to the full flow capacity of the pilot.
Description
The control shall be comprised of a remotely mountable chamber enclosing a float
ball (actuator) and externally mounted pilot and housing assembly. The pilot an
d housing assembly shall be composed of a removable flanged housing, designed fo
r the installation of a rotary disc, plate-type, multi-port valve capable of sup
plying a varying volume (capacity of flow) to a control circuit of a diaphragm-t
ype modulating valve. The capacity of the pilot shall decrease (or increase) on
a rising float level and increase (or decrease) on a lowering float level.
The float chamber control shall be self lubricating, have 1" NPT tank/reservoir
connections, be pressure rated to 300 psi, have 1/2" NPT control piping connecti
ons, and operate to temperature to 180 degrees Fahrenheit. Standard Materials i
n contact with the operating fluids shall be brass, stainless steel, monel, with
Buna-N seals.
