Yahoo Search Engine

-

Bing Search Engine

-Bing has less search results
- Has ads
- Ads stay in one place
- Does not have sponsored articles

Yahoo has more search results

Has ads
Ads scroll down the page as youre
scrolling
5

Has sponsored articles

Between the two search engines, I dont have a favorite. However, if I had to choose I
would pick the Yahoo search engine. This is because, even though Yahoo has ads and
some sponsored articles, it gave the most search results. Therefore, you will have more
information.
4a. Time: There is no specific time the article was written. However, the date the article
was posted was June 8th, 2015.
4b. Yes the article searched does relate to my topic. My topic was emerging technology
and the IOS 9 is an emerging technology.
4c. The author of this article is Romain Dillet. I think he is qualified to write about this
topic because he is a TechCrunch writer. I know this because his Twitter page states he is
a TechCrunch writer. TechCrunch is a news website that states accurate information about
technology.
4d. The information in the article is accurate. I know this because on the Apple website
itself, states the same information about the IOS 9 but in more detail of course.
4e. I think the purpose of the article was to inform people about the new IOS Apple is
releasing. I think the article is material objective; this is because it talks more about the
material in an informing way rather than from a bias perspective.
5a. In my opinion Internet article 1 had a much easier access. This is because all I had to
do was open up the techcrunch website and look at the latest articles. Whereas in DB
article one I had to go through the schools library, sign in my account, type in keywords,
and search for the most topic appropriate article. Internet article 1 was much quicker and
easier to find.
Also in Internet article 1 the newest articles where already posted, I didnt have to search
many pages and look through the times for the latest articles. Where as in DB article 1 I
had to change the timeline to 2014-2015 in order to see the latest articles. Even then I still
had to look at the dates in order to read the latest articles.
For authority, I didnt think there was a difference between the two articles. This is
because techcrunch is a news website and the DB is a scholarly article search engine.
