The Massachusetts Journal

Join the Committees of Correspondence!

Calling all colonists!

Join your brothers to rally

opposition on common causes for
collective action.

We are the leaders of the

American resistance to British
actions. We are the ones who
helped examine merchant records
and publish the names of
merchants who attempted to defy
boycotts.

We promote patriotism and home

manufacturing, while also
encouraging Americans to lead a
more simple life.

The Massachusetts chapter was

founded in November 1772 by

Samuel Adams and Dr. Joseph

Warren in response to the Gaspee
Affair.

We are headquartered in Boston

and are a model for many other
radical groups.

Samuel Adams formed a committee

to protest the recent decision to
have the Crown, not the colonial,
pay the salaries of the royal
governor and judges.

Come join our meetings!
