New Computer Software

Company is HERE!
Bill Gates &
Paul Allen start
new company:
Microsoft
Paul Allen and Bill Gates,
both from Seattle,
Washington and
childhood friends have
come together to create
Microsoft a brand new
computer software
company. Allen and
Gates recently worked
together to produce the
software for the wellknown Micro
Instrumentation &
Telemetry Systems
(MITS) Altair 8800. Prior
to working with MITS,
Allen attended
Washington State
University and Gates,
attended Harvard
University. Both recently
dropped out to work

Allen and Gates both took a strong interest in computers at a
young age. They attended Lakeside School together in Seattle,
Washington, but went their separate ways for college. When
Allen heard of the opportunity to work with MITS, he knew
Gates was the man to call. Being that their work with MITS
was such a success, Allen and Gates decided to continue
working together, founding Microsoft, which was introduced

Although Microsoft is a new company, we expect see big things come out of it as we have
seen what great things Allen and Gates can do together! Microsoft may be a small
company now, however, Allen and Gates project it to grow as computers become more
prominent in the United States.
