ZANZIBAR VICE PRESIDENT LAUNCHES CHILD HELPLINE CALL CENTRE!
Following an MoU between C-Sema and the Ministry of Empowerment, Social Welfare, Youth, Women
and Children (MESWYWC) of the Revolutionary Government of ZANZIBAR, we are happy to share the
news on the Child Helpline LAUNCH in Zanzibar which happened on Saturday 13th June. The event was
officiated by H.E. Ambassador Seif Ally Idd, the Vice President of the Revolutionary Government of
Zanzibar. In this brief event notes please follow our camera-documented events here below!

The 116 Child Helpline is an important component to the efforts of the Revolutionary
Government of Zanzibar in the fight against Violence Against Children. As part of the
agreement, the Ministry of Empowerment, Social Welfare, Youth, Women and Children
provides space for the call centre and social welfare officers who are government employees
working as counsellors at the call centre. C-Sema provides call centre equipment (with support
from SOS CV Tanzania), training to counsellors and oversees all helpline operations in Zanzibar.

Counsellors Training was also attended with other Child Protection stakeholders ahead of
