Washington Park Historic District Expansion
Notice is hereby given that the Historic Resources Commission of the City of Albany will hold a
public hearing in the Common Council Chambers, second floor, City Hall, Albany, New York, on
Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at 5:30 p.m., on the proposed expansion of the Washington Park
Historic District pursuant to Section 42-87 of the Historic Resources Commission Ordinance. It
is proposed that 26 properties be added along the edges of the existing historic district, including
the following addresses:
Henry Johnson Boulevard: 5, 7, 9, 11, 15, 17
Sprague Place: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Spring Street: 74, 76, 77, 78, 79, 80, 81, 82, 83, 87, 89, 90, 92, 95, 99
All persons wishing to be heard in favor of or in opposition to the proposed district expansion
will have an opportunity at the above stated date, time, and place.
You are being notified of this matter because you own one or more of the properties under
consideration for inclusion in the expanded historic district. You are encouraged to participate in
the hearing and/or submit written comments, but you are not required to do so. For further
