The poem reflects on the changes in a relationship over time and the challenges faced along the way. It acknowledges that while things may not be as good as before between the couple, with patience and understanding the relationship could improve again. The poem encourages looking back on even difficult periods with fondness years later, and recognizes the role of shared memories and mementos in remembering the past.

Many days it took me to come to terms and decide, What to type, what to say about what weve seen, As I talk in retrospect of what is and what has been Time flew and things between us changed, Trials and tribulations panned out, talks and chats arranged, Just to clear things out, trying to be the same, Logic and statements abound, both sensible and lame As things stand now, its in our hands, Try to sort things more, or take a stand, But I want you to try and understand Things can be like before, but they wont be as grand So lift your chin up and try and take some time, Even grapes take decades to make the finest wine, And in the context of our lives these 5 months would seem all fine, When you look at them 5-10 years down the line Then youll think all things that wed ever said, Even with you sharp brain and memory youll rub your head, Trying to remember all these stupid things and how we were fools, As well lie in each others arms and whisper I love yous. And ornaments would remain our only maps to the past, They started it all for us, and theyll be there till the last, I never wanted to side line them ever, but only felt one thing just, That we make them special, they dont make us.
