Khizer you are an outgoing little boy

and you love to make new friends.

You have been at An-Nur for over a
year now and you are well acquainted
with how the toys are to be played
with.
One day, I watched you go over to
Wafiy; who is a relatively new child at
An-Nur and is quite shy and reserved.
He was playing with the rainbow
staker so you wanted to join in by
helping him to put all the pieces.
What is happening here?
Khizer showed me that he knows how
to take turns. I encouraged him by
allowing him to show his new friend
how to stack the disks. Taking turns is
a communicative interaction and
begins at an early age. Khizer was
nodding and smiling. He also shock his
head and said NO when Wafiy put the
round topper before all the discs were
used.
Whats next?
Khizer is a fast learner so we have to
encourage him by keeping turns short
so that he does not lose interest. He
will learn that his ideas are important
and that communicating them at the
right time is a very important skill.
