Dear Ms. Smith,
I am writing this cover letter to express my interest in the marketing internship at New York Fashion
Magazine. As this position requires multi-platform marketing experience, proposal writing and event recap compilation, I am confident that I would be an excellent fit.
As the Social Media Intern at AOL Games, I was involved with multi-platform marketing growth, from
concept development to creative execution. During the early stages of a new website program, I helped
pitch ideas for website redesign and I collected feedback from blogs and fan forums. As a member of
Fashion for Philanthropy, I gained invaluable writing experience while drafting project proposals,
brochures and promotional material for fundraising events. In addition, as a volunteer in the Public
Relations department at the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival, I compiled reviews, re-caps and press coverage of
various special events that were coordinated with featured film directors.
New York Fashion Magazine consistently produces some of the most advanced marketing campaigns in
the publishing world, and I feel that my prior experience in marketing would enable me to contribute to
