Today we will learn to compare
numbers(note down objective)
We ll do this using the number line. Can
anyone come up and draw the number
line. Explain positive and negative.
Write 5 and 3 on the board. Mark it on the
number line. The one on the right is always
bigger. Circle it
CFU(cold call) Refer to the chart.
This is the hungry crocodile. He is always
hungry. So he ll always eat the bigger
number.(place picture on the board)
Draw symbol. This is the greater than
Refer to the chart at ALL times
First we draw the number line
Mark the numbers (-5 and 2)
Circle 2 because it is right most
Hungry crocodile will eat which one??(pick

Use hungry crocodile and draw image
