Introduction

The author is not a medical doctor who see and cure the peitients but he was a
surveyor who examine, survey and repair the steel ships.
He was born in 1929 and before retairment he was a chief surveyor of Japanese
Classification Society (Class NK). He surveyed about 1,000 ships, smaller one
is less than 100G/T fishing boat and the largest one is 400,000D/W ULCC.
He has much experiance in hull survey because he was a hull surveyor for
about 40 years but not machinery surveyor.
He intend to open this new home page concerning to the survey of ships, for
instance, "Survey during Construction", "Damage and Repair", "l How to trepair"
etc.
This time he introduces the method of "Docking Survey" for a young syrveyor,
repair manager and superintendent of ship owners. He will be happy if it is
useful for them.
There is an notice board in this home page. When you find incorrect English
expression or other items,please point out in the notice board.
