BENEFITS OF THE COURSE

his short course aims to introduce the basic


fundamentals of earthquake engineering
resistant design as provided in existing (1993)
and proposed (2010) provisions in the Bangladesh
National Building Code. The participants will be
exposed to new features present in the new seismic
design provisions (2010) of the updated Building
Code. The participants will also have software related
training with respect to application of new code.
