Abstract

About 7% children of school aged between 6-12 years are frustrated with
Nocturnal Enuresis. The treatment of Western medicine including enuresis alarm,
desmopressin, anticholinergics and imipramine is effective, but it has the
disadvantage of high charge and side effects. Therefore, many patients accept
traditional Chinese medicine treatment. Based on a review of Chinese medicine and
western medicine periodicals, literatures and textbooks and a case study, we tried to
discuss the treatment approaches to nocturnal enuresis in order to offer some
reference for clinical treatment.
