Dear Parents,
Proposed Y6 Trip to Boreatton Park June 2016
Next year children in Y6 are given the opportunity to go on an outdoor pursuits
holiday to Boreatton Park, Shropshire. They enjoy many exciting activities,
such as abseiling, climbing, high ropes, kayaking, raft building, motorsports,
archery and initiative exercises. We believe that the combination of educational,
physical and social skills which the children develop through this trip make it an
extremely worthwhile part of the childrens final term at Walton le Dale Primary
School.
Apart from considering the merits of such a holiday, you need to know that a
provisional booking for next years trip has been made for Friday 24th June
Monday 26th June 2015
The cost of the long weekend will be approximately 190, which covers all
activities, meals, travel and insurance. Children will only need old clothes and
little spending money.
I need to ascertain the number of parents who seriously wish their child to go on
the trip before confirming the booking. The payments for the trip can be spread
over 10 months, although some deadlines must be met to qualify for discounts.
PLEASE NOTE CHEQUES MUST BE MADE PAYABLE TO LCC AND NOT
SCHOOL.

deposit of 50. Unfortunately if payment deadlines are not met, places will be
